COVID-19 Response

Hello from CBK’s! We hope you are safe and well. As of 13 May 2020, the Department of Culture, Media & Sport has announced we are allowed to reopen. In keeping with current recommendations around social distancing, we are limited to offering hires to members of the same household, or a maximum of two people from different households. Lessons and tours must be one-to-one with an instructor. Please follow the links to book:

Kayak Hire    SUP Hire    1-to-1 Lessons

From 1 June we hope to resume guided tours and lessons, but this will depend on further government announcements.

What safety procedures are you following in response to COVID-19?

You may wish to read our 'Creating Safer Spaces' plan which considers how we will be implementing social distancing following the lifting of the lockdown. You can also download our most up to date risk assessment on the same page.

What happens if I have a tour/lesson booking between now and Monday 1 June?

We’ll be in touch with you by email setting out the available options. You can:

  • Consider switching to a 1-to-1 lesson or a hire if that is suitable for you
  • Reschedule your booking for later in the year
  • Accept a credit note/gift certificate
  • Receive a monetary refund

Where possible, we are asking customers to reschedule or accept a credit note. As you will appreciate, we are in an unprecedented trading environment and we are very grateful for customers who can commit to come again in the future and hold their credit with us. However, if you need a monetary refund, we will ensure this is processed as soon as possible.

What happens if I have a booking later in the year?

We hope it will be safe to resume operations in time for your booking, so please just sit tight and we’ll be in touch if the situation changes. However, if you are not able to wait, our standard cancellation policy still applies, you can read this at:
